Christopher Chambliss is the founding President and CEO of the Nehemiah Community Project (NCP), a mission-driven leader shaped by legacy, faith, and the undeniable urgency of this moment.

Chris was raised by remarkable parents—entrepreneurs and faith leaders—who instilled in him a simple yet powerful truth: strong communities are built by people who care enough to invest in others. That seed of wisdom grew into a lifelong calling to stand in the gap for those who are often overlooked, unheard, and underserved.

In today’s world—where men silently bear the weight of trauma, where families fracture under the pressure of generational pain, and where entire communities are navigating post-pandemic stress and systemic neglect—Chris and the Nehemiah Community Project have stepped forward with a clear purpose: to heal, to rebuild, and to transform.

NCP was born out of the deep understanding that trauma is not just personal—it’s generational, it’s cultural, and it’s structural. Left unaddressed, it fuels cycles of violence, addiction, isolation, and incarceration. But healing is possible. And Chris believes that when people are seen, heard, and supported with dignity, they can rewrite their stories.

Under Chris’s leadership, NCP uses trauma-informed, evidence-based practices to walk with men, youth, veterans, and returning citizens through real transformation. Their work is not just compassionate, it’s strategic and measurable. From therapy and mentoring to workforce development and family restoration, NCP partners with schools, churches, service providers, and local governments to create wraparound support systems that work.

Chris holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration and has undergone advanced training in trauma-informed care, PTSD, veterans’ affairs, and community advocacy. His work is as personal as it is professional. During his own trauma training, he discovered that his deepest gift wasn’t just leadership, it was presence. The ability to walk with people through their darkest moments and remind them of their worth.

Today, that presence is making waves. NCP’s programs have led to increased graduation rates, reduced recidivism, greater mental health awareness, and stronger male engagement in family and civic life. In a time when many are still asking what hope looks like, Chris and NCP are offering a living answer.

Outside of his work with NCP, Chris is a respected faith leader and seasoned entrepreneur. Together with his wife Denise, he is the proud father of six children—including 2 active-duty U.S. Army soldiers, marine and a navy man, a music composer and a doctoral candidate in Leadership Development at the University of Florida. Their family is living proof that healing, discipline, and love create legacy.

In a society that often writes men off as problems to be fixed, Chris Chambliss sees them as leaders to be restored. And through the Nehemiah Community Project, he’s helping to rebuild the walls—one life, one family, and one community at a time
